A is for Abundance

The Soul-Wise Living Alphabet

Inspired April 2013

The Soul-Wise Living Alphabet is launched to Awaken Your Spirit & empower your thinking. Words are Energy! They can lift us up and they can just as easily bring us down. Spirit driven words will raise your vibration UP. By finding the meaning these words have in your life and embracing them, one at a time each day ~ after the course of a month, The Soul-Wise Living Alphabet will have raised your energy up. My desire for you is that you are able to embrace your inner spirit  and, as a result, live In-Joy. ~ laura

A is for Abundance!

What’s the first thing you think of when you hear the word abundance?  Sit still and breathe in the word. What does it do to your body? your mind? your inner spirit? How does the word make you feel?

Abundance comes in all shapes and sizes. You may think of wealth. You may think of love. You may think of a lush, fresh bouquet of gorgeous flowers! Whatever comes to your mind ~ it comes in oodles and bunches, right? It’s about having A LOT of something in your life.

Here’s where having an abundance of anything gets tricky: You think “I want an abundance of money but really it’s not coming right now.” When you think that you vibrate the NOT coming, and so the not coming of money is ABUNDANT. When you are still, and feeling abundance it feels good but when you start thinking about it you add what I call the “But’s of life” I can do this but….I want that but….

Stop thinking. Don’t add the ‘buts’ and focus on the FEELING when you breathe in abundance. The feeling will draw the vibration to you and you will begin to see abundance ~ in whatever form that is ~ all around you! Today, when you start adding the ‘but’ into your thoughts, stop and breathe in the word abundance and all that it offers. Be open to receiving what amazing abundance you desire and how that is already in your life. It will come to you like the water falling over a waterfall in early spring!

What does abundance mean to you? How do you draw it to you?

  1. Abundance to me feels like freedom – having choices. I’ve found that replacing “but” with “and” opens up more options – when I remember to do it 🙂

“But” is such an energy stopper, isn’t it?! It takes all the momentum away from the words~ similar to when someone goes on about the pros of something and then says “That being said” and you know the entire momentum will Stop in it’s place! It’s hard to remember sometimes but glad you try!!!! 🙂

  2. I like the abundance of that which is obtainable without stress. An abundance of money is eventually a burden. An abundance of good health, loved ones and an enjoyable environment is what I would like.

PS – love your idea of going through the alphabet. We do groups of posts that tie together. For 2013 we are doing Carolinas A to Z. It provides a structure yet flexibility. Look forward to seeing more of YOUR alphabet.

  5. Wow, Laura, maybe my computer was playing an April Fool’s Day joke on me–this comment stream and box wasn’t here the first time I checked. Great post, and I like the idea of going through the alphabet with your topics.

  6. I like this! I think of Jesus’s statement in John 10:10, “I am come that you might have life–life in all it’s abundance.” Not material or physical, but spiritual. And abundance of blessings that build up the inner person like love, joy and peace.

    Laura Clark Reply:

Abundance of blessings, Ken, they certainly are all around us. While I am ever grateful for some of the ‘things’ I have in my life and the health I keep, I am more focused on the blessings of spirit.

  8. Abundance = peace for me. It’s a lack of efforting and pushing to “make” things happen. It is instead, walking in faith and trusting that I am deserving and my needs will be taken care of. I love this idea of the alphabet Laura and look forward to reading as you continue through!

  9. Abundance and gratitude are closely related to me. The more grateful I am and feel, the more abundance I recognize coming in to my world. A great post to begin the first full month of spring. Thank you for the reminder to “breathe”.

  11. Abundance is about feeling amazing and grateful for what I HAVE, regardless of what may be “missing”. It doesn’t have to have anything to do with money. Thanks Laura!

    Laura Clark Reply:

No, it certainly does not have to be about money, Emily!!! I love how you phrase it about ‘feeling’ amazing ~ it is about the feelings!

  12. Hi Laura

Love your post, and looking forward to relearning my alphabet 🙂

But certainly has a tendency to negate all that has gone before it!

Abundance is enjoying the fullness of life – the ups and downs – as all are lessons for us to be experienced with joy 🙂

  13. Abundance for me… Is the life I am so grateful to have… It’s those butterflies I still get when I drive up to my house or see my children or my husband… My heart swells…

  14. Laura, You are so right about the buts! I realize I’ve been doing that a lot lately. If I don’t add the qualifier, when I think of abundance, I think of calm certainty. Thanks for giving me an opportunity to shift!
