How to tend your mind to Reap Joy & Abundance

It’s Spring! I believe that Spring has finally it the Northeast. The cool temperatures of the winter are being replaced by warm, breezy weather. The brown, tawny colors are fading and being replaced by budding greens of lawns and trees. Spirits are beginning to rise. Gardens are beginning to be tilled for the reaping of harvests to come. Are you tending to your own inner wisdom’s garden?

Gardeners don’t just go out and pick their crops and have delicious food in the fall. There is a design and work. They plan their crop during the winter. They tend to the soil and make it fertile for the seeds. They plant. They water. They till and they tend. They often sit and wait for growth to happen. They look for signs~ is this a good crop? Does the crop need more support because the bugs are trying to get into the crop? Then, in the fall, after much work, they have a harvest of success. This is the way a gardeners’ season works. We can learn from them.  This is how you shift your mindset and your life to live in joy & abundance.

Tarsi guarding our new tractor. Making Preparations to ‘Till the Land’

We have to make a decision to shift our minds. We have to say “Yes, I will plant my garden so I can have success.” You make a conscious choice about changing how you think. Then, we have to make our soil fertile. It means taking out some weeds, shifting the earth and replacing old soil removed with new soil that nurtures. This is the same in our minds. We take out the weed-like thinking and replace it with beautiful soil. But, it doesn’t stop there.

Then, gardeners plant the seeds and so, we plant the seeds of success by beginning to listen to our emotions and how they affect us. We tend to them, soften them and nurture them into having them support us rather than drive us.

Then, as gardeners have to sit and wait for their crops, we have to sit and listen to our inner wisdom. And, after we do that, we REAP the harvest of new minds, softened emotions and making choices based on our own inner wisdom. Like the gardeners, we look for signs in our lives and make adjustments according to what we see so we can continue moving forward in Success and In-Joy.

When the crop is ready, it is picked. When our success is ready, wit is seen. But, like the gardening, who enjoys the journey, we can enjoy our time moving forward toward Success, Joy and Abundance. We don’t have to wait. If you’d like more REAL solutions, check out the registration page for the next REAP™ Clarity & Success Program. Like gardeners beginning to tend to the soil, this program is beginning at the same time.

How have you used the gardener’s analogy in your life to REAP Joy & Abundance and do you have a system that works for you to stay In-Joy?

  2. This is great Laura!

I am on a constant journey to develop my inner wisdom, and I love this analogy. I am ever conscious to plant my ‘thought’ seeds in fertile soil, i.e. like-minded, supportive people, so that they can be nurtured and grow – not wither and die. So thanks again for sharing this!

You’re welcome, Sarada! It’s a process that never ends ~ as long as we go on. That’s why I like this analogy so much. The gardening process never ends ~ it’s cyclical ~ just like listening to our own inner wisdom 🙂

  3. So true, Laura! The more in touch I get with my intuition/inner wisdom, the easier, more relaxed, and happier my life becomes. I help my clients do the same in relation to their money, and the results are amazing. Thanks for helping get the word out – the whole world will be better as more and more of us soften and listen!

Emily, you are so right, too! When we recognize that Joy and Peace come from witin and we settle into it and tend to our own inner garden, life is easier.

  4. Love this Laura. It takes time, intention, action to grow a garden and then the watching and waiting. We all want it yesterday. I added writing intentions to my morning routine. I will let you know what blossoms.

  6. Love your analogy, Laura. My mom is a horticulturalist and an entrepreneur (she operates a greenhouse, of course), so the idea of sowing and reaping makes perfect sense to me. It also reminds me to be patient – I can’t expect to enjoy the fruit of the field that I just planted today. And if I don’t tend to my fields (mindset) regularly, no crops will grow!

Of course it makes sense to you!!!! Patience is one of the toughest things to do 😉
