The Soul-Wise Living Alphabet

Inspired April 2013

The Soul-Wise Living Alphabet is launched to Awaken Your Spirit & empower your thinking. Words are Energy! They can lift us up and they can just as easily bring us down. Spirit driven words will raise your vibration UP. By finding the meaning these words have in your life and embracing them, one at a time each day ~ after the course of a month, The Soul-Wise Living Alphabet will have raised your energy up. My desire for you is that you are able to embrace your inner spirit  and, as a result, live In-Joy. ~ laura

Z is for Zen.

Zen teachings are part of Soul-Wise Living. Zen teaching  aims at being fully enlightened by your intuition through meditation. Zen is about absorption and is a philosophy of Buddhism. And, of course, to give the respect and understanding it deserves is beyond the scope of here and now.

But, to simplify finding  “Zen Time” in your life is about being able to find a space and time for rediscovery or introspection and can be done by meditation and/or quietly allowing yourself to sit still without the mind directing you but following the flow of your breath. Within this time, you will be given answers that (upon coming back to a thought-filled state) will help guide you into peace-of-mind and harmony in life.

  1. Unfortunately, my zen time is limited, and with all the things going on in my life, shutting off my brain is almost next to impossible. I problem I would love to rectify. 🙂

  3. For me it’s stopping, stepping away and just breathing. Unfortunately, doesn’t last too long, but it’s always a good thing when I do.

  4. I’ve found that sitting doesn’t work as a meditation for me. But as a former athlete, physical activity works. Running, walking or swimming laps (when I’m not going for time) causes me to lapse into a meditative state. I think by keeping my body busy, it allows my mind the freedom to wander. Of course, this only works when I don’t plug into my mp3 player and listen to music or audio books.
