Make Your Vision Board work: 3 things you must do

How to Discover The Hidden Messages of Vision Boards

So You Love your Vision Board and the feeling it creates in you!! Now what? What do you do with it? Vision boards work. John Assaraf says  “allow yourself, each and everyday, to look at your board and visualize your life ‘as is’ ”

You have to understand what your vision board means to you. What are it’s hidden messages that you can find that will inspire you to take action? Interpretation is very personal. First and foremost, you must trust your OWN inner knowing. This interpretation is to give additional insight into possible ways to view what you may have ‘missed’ or overlooked. Beyond this, taking the time to understand your board, allows for you to consider things you may not have even thought of before.

Vision Board

My 2012 Board ~ it’s message was clear: Join a mastermind group to elevate the way you do business. I now belong to THREE!

There are many ways to interpret a board. Some people look at boards like a clock representing the past, the present and the future in your life. Some people look at boards as sectors of who you are. Some people look at boards by using the basic tool of feng shui: the bagua. Some people look at boards as time lines for the future. Whichever way you want to interpret it, know this: Every section has mystical messages for you from your soul. These messages are to be considered as possible needs to heal something within so that you can move forward.

The three things you MUST do with a vision board once you’ve created it:

1) Take time to  INTERPRET it. Take the time to understand your desires and the feelings you want to manifest. You can journal on what your soul wants you to know and more to discover the hidden messages that lie within.

2) Use it DAILY. Put it in a place where you will see it and every day visualize your life ‘as is’ to manifest that into your life!

3) Keep it energized. What does that mean? Keep it free from dust. Allow fresh air to sweep around it so it’s vibration can infuse your energy. (I even place it in the window on the night of a full moon to receive the manifestation energy of a full moon! )

Beyond that what can you do to make certain that you understand it’s hidden meaning? I offer a reading that brings profound insight regarding the hidden messages. You might want to consider one so that you can understand the mystical messages from your soul that lie within it.

Have you created your Vision Board for 2014 yet? If you have, can you share what amazing insight you’ve received from it so far? I’d love to know!!

  1. Love this post! I love your point to keep it energized. What does that mean? Keep it free from dust. Allow fresh air to sweep around it so it’s vibration can infuse your energy. Love this. I have never done a vision board with the exception on Pinterest. I may do that again.

  2. Laura,
I am with Lorraine, I’ve never done a vision board per se. But, I’ve developed some visual maps to do the same thing: what is it that I want and what does it all mean to me.
Thanks for the pointers. They work no matter what tools you use to create a vision and keep it alive. I am most fervently in favor of #2. And, although I’d not heard of #3 before, it sounds like an interesting point. Will have to try with my maps.

  4. Laura, here’s a question for you. I created a vision board several years ago and have updated it periodically. Do you see any value in starting from scratch and creating a totally new one?

Great Question! Because you have ‘updated’ it, that means your are still focused on it. That’s good. You used the word (several years) ‘ago’ and not ‘old. That’s good. So here are my questions for you: Why do you ‘update’ it and not create a new one? Is your vision still the same as the board looks? If yes, what is holding you from manifesting that or something better? Would creating a new one bring you renewed energy to take the steps toward the manifestation the board (your soul’s) desires?? If you don’t get a concrete answer for yourself from the answers that come from these questions let me know. The reason I’m not giving a direct answer is that that the answer would change from person to person.
With this in place for you, I always see the value of a new one!!! You never know what hidden messages might come from within by doing one!

Thanks, Stacey!! Yes, many people feel you can create and simply place in a spot for manifestation and that is GOOD but why not exponentially manifest your desires, right?!!! HUGS to you Stacey!

  6. Perfect post at the perfect time, Laura! I just made my first ever vision board (because my coach force me to finally execute on the idea.) Instead of being literal, mine is aspirational – it’s full of emotions I want to feel and images that speak to me. Now that I have it, I’m excited to put it into action with your steps!

Lori ~ I’m proud of you for finally doing one!!!! ~ when I teach Vision Boards I always focus on feelings ~ it allows your soul’s own messages to be evoked and placed into the board. Then, the magic of understanding it’s hidden messages begins!!!!!! <3

  7. I keep mine on my wall next to my bed so I can see it first thing in the morning and last thing before I go to bed!

That’s an awesome place for it. Our subconscious works at night based on the last aspects of our evening and a Vision Board is an awesome last aspect!!
