How to Empower Your Intuition

Do you hear your intuition? We all have it ~ that gut instinct that tells us what to do and what not to do. Too often, we ignore our gut or we are too busy to even hear it. Why do you want to listen to it and how do you empower your intuition?

Intuition

Intuition is your soul’s way of whispering your truth to you. Your soul always knows the truth and when you listen to it ~ and follow it ~ life unfolds beautifully before your eyes. By following this innate instinct you have (for everyone does), you are able to make choices that are aligned with YOU and that lead you to more Joy & Abundance in life. It’s a life skill that can be learned. You can Empower your own intuition!

The Best Way to Start to Empower your Intuition is to follow this 7 step approach:

It’s a great time of year to begin to empower your intuition. We will have a Mercury in Retrograde in our path as we step toward this summer. It’s a great time to use go inward, to discover the compass to your soul’s truth and to step forward brilliantly as summer’s sun and fun appear at the end of next month. Do you have anything planned in the next month or two to help you slow down and discover your soul’s truth?

  2. “[Emotions] are not the truth of WHO you are.” Wow – how powerful!

Thanks for the reminder about yoga and meditation, Laura. I’m making progress in developing both these practices, so I take your words as a nudge from the Universe that I’m moving in the right direction. 🙂

  3. Oh no, Mercury is going into retrograde again? Thank you for the warning, but I did plan on starting some introspective projects, so I guess, as much as it could be, the timing is ideal!

  4. I love your stop asking “Why”, Laura. The pity party doesn’t get anyone anywhere. Action is where it’s at!

The personal pity party is just that a really bad party ~ you can leave whenever you want and leave the “WHY” behind too………..Often the first step to action is that little shift from “Why” To “How” indeed you are correct!!!!! KEEP SMILING

  5. I agree with Carolyn and Cena – the tip to stop asking “why” questions is brilliantly simple. Best of all, it’s something I can remember to do!

Lori ~ one of the tricks I used in recovering from depression and asking myself the ‘Why Me’ all the time was to take the word and draw the big red circle with the slash through it (Ghostbuster like) as a visual reminder!! A simple shift is all it takes!

  8. Great list! Thank you! Meditation has been a big one for me and I had huge shifts when I started to rephrase the limiting questions to powerful solution questions! I would love to more about the “Sacred Journal” – what specifically is that? Thanks, Laura!

Ahhhh Tricia ~ a sacred journal is a special type of journalling that allows you to really discover YOU and how to allow YOU to shine……..I’ll be doing a workshop on it at the end of July! Stay Tuned 🙂

  9. I love all of your seven step plan! One step I do not use as often is taking time for a retreat. I intend to schedule one day for a retreat in June and love that you are offering two Intuition Retreats each year! Thank you!

That is the One, Kelley!!! So many of us are so engaged in our lives that we do not plan to retreat……I know once I started putting it on my calendar, it became this big Gift full of surprises for me and so now do it monthly too ~ as well as once a year a big one!!! Glad you are recognizing it.
Shhhhh. don’t tell anyone 😉 but the Intuition Retreat will now be more than 2x/year~ because well, so many of us are engaged in our lives that we do not plan

  10. So many great hits of info! I started reading a book recently about connecting with intuition! I am learning to listen to it more… But I would like to I prove my speed in which I implement what “Intuition” tells me. This is a crazy question… But how often does one typically “hear” this guidance? Sometimes I feel like I get it multiple times a day but then question if that is valid or not…

    [Reply]

    Laura Clark Reply:

Ahhh the proverbial question of I want to be faster and stealthier with this. Intuition development is a skill, Kelly, and, like any other, needs to be cultivated and practiced. Do you have a daily spiritual awakening practice? Are you using a variety of spiritual awakening tools to support you in those moments of “I’m curious about the answer to xyz” This will help. (My Retreat teaches this!)
Basically, people hear guidance through their own senses, hear, touch, taste, feel. Some just know…For me, if I’m relaxed and in a state of asking, I can get guidance at any given moment and it becomes an on/off switch and it’s taken time to cultivate. So,yes, you can get it all the time. Hearing, Understanding and Acting Upon your intuition is a state of trust ~ keep working at it ~ it will come.

Thanks for clearing it up and providing more feedback Laura! That retreat sounds amazing!! Especially for those who are “awakening” to intuition and the quiet whispers.
