How to Take A Risk by Seeing Signs in Your Life

Nature teaches us through the 4 elements ~ it shows us signs all the time. The signs clearly give us direction, support and the courage to step out of our comfort zone to create a life well lived.

Stepping out of our comfort zone is about taking risks. Tweet: Stepping out of your comfort zone is about taking risks. http://ctt.ec/4a3b2+ Climb Mt. Everest? No,but U do have to take a risk You do not have to climb Mt. Everest to take a risk. In fact, you probably are taking them each and every day of your life. But, are you taking the RIGHT risks. Risks that help you create a life well lived or are you taking risks by default. When you have choices to make AND you look to nature for support, you will see signs all around you that will guide you.

These signs in your life are meant to give you pause. They are meant to have you slow down, see them, understand them from your own innate wisdom and then, act upon them. Then, take the risk that that sign is showing you so that you are creating a life well lived by design and not by default.

Signs can be seen through the 4 elements.  Water teaches us about our emotions ~ that we can have them but that they do not define who we are. Air helps clear the ego-chatter and focus in on our own hearts. Earth helps ground ourselves and raise our vibrations and Fire will elevate our spiritual self. When you have a question that needs to be answered, see what element nature gives us. If it’s an animal sign and that animal for example is a water animal, consider how your emotions are driving you. If you see an Eagle soaring, how can you use this to elevate your spiritual self in making a decision. A hawk, on the other hand, may be guiding you to clear your thoughts. Too, a squirrel or a rabbit, may be telling you that some physical grounding is necessary before hearing your inner wisdom.

Signs, like these, and others will guide your choices, and show you the risks to take. Risks come in all shapes and sizes. Jim Whittaker, the first American to climb Mt. Everest says “If you aren’t living on the edge, you are taking up too much space. ” Tweet: By that he means, if you are not stepping out of your comfort zone, you are not celebrating life enough. By taking risks, risks that you have been given signs to take,  you are living on the edge. You are testing yourself and being out of your comfort zone like Jim Whittaker shares in this inspiring video:

a_life_well_lived Take time to enter nature, learn and grow from it, see the signs, get the answers to those questions and then take a risk. Create a life well lived by design not by default.  You do not have to climb Mt. Everest, you can take a walk in the park, sit by the ocean and look for signs. They are there and they will guide your path ~ if you let them! Have you ever done this and been given a clear sign?

  1. There is so much to learn from the 4 elements and the wisdom that is always within reach. Laura your guidance to become more in touch with my own inner wisdom at one time might have been a risk, now it is very comfortable ‘living on the edge’ and know just where to reach for the next bit of information that is needed.

  2. Nice video backing up your reminder to pay attention to nature and how it affects us. The four elements are indeed guiding forces to help examine who we are, what we do, and why.

Thank you Virginia! The video is one of my ‘goto’ videos for taking a risk and nature certainly makes it easy for us to see the smaller ‘risks’ right?!!!

  3. Laura, I am learning from you to be more aware of the signs and more in tune with what they mean. When taking risks or moving outside of my comfort zone I appreciate any confirmation that I am moving in the right direction. It makes the discomfort easier to deal with and my courage stronger. The other day while on my walk I was thinking of some new possibilities for my business and at that exact moment two goldfinches flew past me at eye level and climbed into the sky. I took that as a good sign. 😉

  4. I loved what you wrote about taking the RIGHT risks and not risks by default. If we realize that we are always taking risks then that might help us start taking the right ones in life.

  5. Wow Laura! I never looked at signs from that perspective before! I always try to relate the animals natural behaviors or their totem aspect but never have I related that to the elements. that’s one i am truly totally unfamiliar with. Perhaps a class on that someday?
