What Animals mean ….

as a sign in  your life.

If you are looking for signs in your life, one of the best things to do is go for a walk in nature and see what animals appear.

Signs are everywhere. Signs appear in the animals that cross your paths. Understanding what animals mean as a spiritual symbol will aid in helping you understand a situation in your life. It is how you interpret their appearance and their meaning and see how it is a meaning for you that will help you choose the best choice for happiness and joy in your life and the lives of those around you.

Animal Signs...what do they mean when they cross your path.

Last month, I saw these loon chicks off my dock. I love loons ~ they symbolize tranquility and serenity and re-awaken dreams and desires and to pay close attention to them. This month, the chicklets had made it passed a precarious time of predators and are still with Mom and Dad. I saw them yesterday and sat in awe of how they were interacting as a family. It helped me understand the best choice to make regarding an interaction with my extended family of friends and of my hopes and dreams.

People often ask me, “Laura, how do you know so much about what animals mean?” Tweet: Need to understand a situation in your life ~ go for a walk and learn by the animal signs. http://ctt.ec/A97R1+ @laurapclark Beyond studying them for years and beyond working with clients on how best to interpret their meaning in their lives (because interpretation is a VERY personal matter) I’m going to give you my secret weapon. Are you ready? It’s Animal-Speak: The Spiritual & Magical Powers of creatures Great & Small written by Ted Andrews. It’s a dictionary of symbolism. Animal Speak shows you the power and spiritual significance of more than 100 different animals, birds, insects, and reptiles. And was my starting point for my own discovery process and supporting my clients in listening to their inner wisdom through the appearance of these signs and what animals mean.

So, What do Animals Mean?

They mean different things to different people. Think Skunk. Most people think of them as animals that wreak a horrendous smell. But, I have one client who loves them because of Pepe Le Pew! So, when you have an animal come across your vision, learn about it and then take the generic meaning and filter it through your own understandings for your own action steps based on your inner wisdom for actions based on this.  What do animals mean to you? Have you ever had one that has been a sign that has created a significant shift for you?

  1. I love talking about animals in any sense including as symbols or messages. As someone who connects very deeply to the earth and animal realms I love how you pointed out that each person will have a very personal ‘meaning’ to discover. And really this makes sense doesn’t it? After all, we make meaning for every life event based on what is important to us and past experiences. If there was no connection, there’d be no meaning for us. A lovely article and I do love the call of the loon too Laura. Beautiful creature and a haunting, graceful song.

Bonnie ~ was blessed to hear the loons call this morning as I entered into a stunning soul journey (an enhanced form of meditation)….And, yes, it does absolutely make sense to connect to signs and symbols and messages!

  2. I love how you encourage us to use inner wisdom for animal guidance. I have allllways been attracted to butterflies and I see them daily in many colors, sizes and forms from real to in pictures. they are a great reminder to me that i am always evolving into something new… with beauty and grace…

Butterflies!!! I had an awe-mazing experience in a butterfly zoo once (thankfully, it extended over acres and acres of property so not to have them feel captivated) Enya’s music was flowing and I was transformed into joy and happiness!!! So glad they have a great meaning for you!!!

  3. I don’t have enough knowledge or time to decipher what an animal symbol may or may not mean. I have a hard enough time trying to decipher what a vast majority of the two-legged ones traipsing around are trying to message the world…

  4. Love you speaking about animal signs. It is a reminder to me that I do not pay enough attention to them when they do appear. It was hawks for a while, then cardinals, then butterflies and last few days crows. Need to ponder the meaning of so many signs.

They do come in various shapes and sized this is true, Lilia!!!! Recently, I have had hummingbirds ~ which is fun as I would see them only at my summer home but now they are here at the River House too!!! Take time, their meaning will come to you through the whispers on the wind! KEEP SMILING

  5. The whispers are very interesting – the summer my Dad left this earth a fox spend many mornings with me walking or sitting about 20 feet from me when I would do an early walk. He or another fox returns at special times to bring amazing whispers and wisdom.

  6. I have never given this topic much thought, but I am curious now. I have lot’s of animals that appear in my life a lot. Lately it’s been the raccoon. I believe my dog Cooper has struck a bargain with the raccoon for food. Who knows. But I’ve been on 3 big safari’s in my life in Africa and the white faced monkey appears all the time. This time I also got to see 2 lions mating. Also very cool!
