Thank You Louise Hay for the Healing

Louise Hay, founder of Hay House Publications, turned 88 this past week. Happy Birthday!!!!
She is the quintessential example of someone who has chosen to lead an inspired life!Tweet: @LouiseHay: the quintessential example of someone who leads an inspired life! She how her inspiration led me http://ctt.ec/h14yl+

She followed her own inner wisdom throughout her life and became a champion for thousands of women to heal from within and live an empowered life. It is because of her book, Heal Your Body, that she wrote decades ago that I began to embrace my own personal inner wisdom.
So much of what she wrote guided me on my own path of healing, empowered me to seek support and guidance from spiritual mentors.

Here is my slide-show tribute to her on her birthday last week:

Thank You to Louise Hay – Created with Haiku Deck, presentation software that inspires

Louise supported my healing and she doesn’t even know me (yet!) It was an honor to have one of my articles, Your Someday Over the Rainbow is Now, found inside an e-magazine that she was on the cover of and that had one of her articles in it too!!!!!  Yes, I found the power to heal from within but Louise Hay was certainly the catalyst to my healing!Tweet: Happy Birthday Month to A Catalyst to my own healing @louisehay! Thanks for the #inspiration over the years http://ctt.ec/T81vc+  You can read both of these articles <HERE>

  1. Hi Laura, Louise Hay was a shining light in my life too. One of the most important things she told me (I asked her a question at I CAN DO IT conference Toronto) was that when she has a bad day she thinks about a yellow rose. She loves Yellow roses. I was so surprised. Does Louise have a bad day after all the work she had done? Yes she said, she has. This gave me permission to be kind towards myself when I have a bad day and not judge myself that I need to be perfect and always positive.

Irina! Isn’t it funny how when we look at someone as a mentor, at first, it is difficult to see them as a human with challenges?Love that her yellow rose taught you much !!!!

  2. Wow, Louise Hay is 88 years young?! I’m so inspired by this. Like you, her book “You can heal your life” found me in the 90’s. It was the first book I’d read on my spiritual journey, and it opened every door that I needed. It helped me take my own healing journey. Louise Hay is amazing because her heart led her to her purpose. Her purpose led her to helping millions heal and walk our journeys with spirit.

I liked your slideshow. What a wonderful way to commemorate her birthday.

  3. What a lovely tribute to Louise — and now YOU have become a shining light to others! It’s no accident that your article was in the same magazine as hers with her lovely light beaming on the front cover. You are following in her footsteps and that’s a gift for all of us!

  4. First of all Congrats on your article Laura! Brilliant!
I too love Louise Hay. Her book You Can Heal Your Life was a life saver for me when I was struggling in just about every aspect of my life after a car accident. The message that it gave me was one of hope; something I’d just about completely lost. Hay House is an amazing creation isn’t it? You created a lovely deck as a tribute to her. 🙂

  7. Louise Hay is an inspiration for me as well! I was given her book ‘Heal Your Life’ by an old roommate, a few years ago, and it was such a big piece of my current path in life. It honed in on so many things I believed already at that point, but shaped it in ways that I just couldn’t have envisaged yet. She’s such an incredible soul, and has touched indelibly so much of our world. 🙂

  8. Hi Laura,

I have a few mentors…and I have Heal Your Life by Louise, too 🙂 I credit Marianne Williamson and don Miguel Ruiz with a lot of my healing a lifetime ago. The Gift of Change and The Four Agreements are two of my go-to books.

  9. I, too, have carried ‘that little blue book’ on a long journey. And, when I can’t figure something out, it’s still a great starting place. Thanks for sharing.

  10. Louise Hay is an example of how each of us should strive to live. She has followed her bliss and even defied cancer (from what I understand). Her teachings have helped zillions of people find their way through the muck to love and light … this is a wonderful tribute to a great teacher!

  11. This is such a lovely tribute to Louise, Laura!! Thank you so much creating such an amazing slide show! It made me smile all while I watched it. Like you and all the other women here I discovered You Can Heal Your Life in my early 20’s (over 20 years ago!) and it TRANSFORMED my life! I just pulled it off the shelf to help my husband find an affirmation for some persistent back/hip pain he’s had. The “underlying cause” of fears around moving forward really resonated for him and I know that insight will be a big part of his healing. Thanks again for this lovely tribute to an AMAZING lady!!

Glad you smiled, Stacey, because your’s lights up a room!!!! I’m surprised ~ but I shouldn’t be right? ~ by so many of us who connected with that little book 10-15-20 years ago and who have had profound journeys since then! Sending Healing to your husband!!!!

  12. wonderful tribute! I can so relate to your heartfelt gratitude and appreciation towards Louise Hay. The woman that came into my life and does not even know how much she has impacted it through her work is called Laurel Mellin. Her life’s work Emotional Brain Training saved my life and helped me heal my wounds and rewire from pain to joy.
