A Double Rainbow & Other Signs: The true significance

When was the last time you were stunned by mother nature? Was it on a mountain trip? Was it when watching the sun rise? Or maybe was it when the full moon crested the horizon? Everyone experiences the ability to stop and take in ~ at a moment’s notice ~ a beautiful scene like a rainbow or even a double rainbow! When we do take a moment to take in all the glory of mother nature, we discover that it’s there all the time. It’s not on the rare occasion of a full moon or at the top of the mountain that it is glorious. It’s in all occasions and that’s why it is great to take time and step into nature each and every day ~ you never know what you’ll find. Maybe even a double rainbow!

Double_rainbow Rainbows are beautiful and rare. Double rainbows are even more so  because of their rarity. Everyone stops and stares. Can’t you just hear the ‘aws’ and the ‘Can you see that?’s and the ‘Oh, it’s beautiful’s! Can’t you just see their mouths slightly ajar when gazing at this wonder. Well the truth is no one sees a rainbow quite the same way because of our eyes! That’s what’s so great about signs. No two people see them the same way and no two people interpret them the same way either!
Double rainbows have great meaning, awe and beauty. Understanding their message allows for great #clarity Click To Tweet

The truth of the matter is that what each of us sees in nature, we will all look at it differently whether they are snakes or double rainbows!  I saw a snake the other day and they used to send me screaming~ literally! But, the other day, this snake was sunbathing quite quietly on a rock near me. I took her all in. And then, I wondered to myself “If this was a sign from the Universe for me, what would it be?” I did some soul-searching and some reading and It became really clear.

This sign from the universe was not a yicky, scary sign of impending doom like some think or a sign that something needs to be healed like it was a caduceus. For me, on this beautiful summer weekend, it was simply that I had made the right choice in spending time alone, soaking up the sun and refueling my energies.

The point is that what is right for one person with a sign is not right for another ~especially snakes and double rainbows! And, that when you see a sign, taking the time to understand it’s meaning will create understanding of your circumstances. A rainbow has many meanings associated with it. The common thread between these meanings is that they all have a connection to spirituality and the heavens. A Double Rainbow is that too the connection from the divine to the physical world and from the physical world to the divine, the 7 chakras, a life path, a spiritual journey and more!

  1. Some time ago you shared with me these words of wisdom ‘take time and step into nature each and every day’, and it is so amazing what you do find on these simple journeys. My walks in ME last week were filled with many joys and answers ~ “if this were a sign, what would it be?” is indeed a very powerful question !

  2. This really struck me, Laura: “When we do take a moment to take in all the glory of mother nature, we discover that it’s there all the time.” I’ve noticed myself that I’ve gone days seemingly without venturing outside and noticing anything in nature. But then suddenly, something beautiful grabs my attention and after that, I see the beauty everywhere. Even in the tiny details, like leaves, bark or grass. Congrats on shifting your snake phobia to snake appreciation!

  4. Signs, signs and more signs. The world is full of them. You’re so right that the message is different for each person. It is a matter of taking the time to see the sign, internalize it and take meaning from it.

  5. Wow, I never thought of a rainbow that way before. While I get so many clues and messages from nature, I never considered the rainbow to be one. I will from now on.
